Our vision at Global Youth Dynamix is to create a world where a dignified existence is possible. We believe that no matter how dire the circumstances of a person's life may be due to drug abuse or sex-work, the state of that person's life can be enhanced. We strive to enhance the lives of people in various places of need in different ways that can make a difference in their lives.

Our Story

Global Youth Dynamix began in 2017 as a way for the founder, Selina Njeri, to give back to the community especially to the youth. Selina Njeri, went out to the streets of Kawangware (an informal settlement) in Nairobi, Kenya to meet with the young people from the communities and to listen to them about the different challenges that they faced. From these conversations, four groups of focus were formed based on the challenges that they faced. The four focus groups were: the drug addicts, the sex-workers, the talent group and young professionals.

Thus the program developed as a way to provide solutions to the challenges that the four focus groups faced. Some of these solutions included:

  • The provision of transport for the drug addicts to be able to go to a Methadone Clinic where they could get daily Methadone doses to enable them to safely abstain from illegal hard drugs.
  • The provision of the critical basic needs such as shelter, food or clothing for those who were homeless.
  • Taking some of the young people for various vocational training and financial management training to enable them to get jobs or start a business.
  • The provision of a sound system for the talent to be able to have events and to showcase their talents.
