Global Youth Dynamix runs a Social Reintegration Program which provides a safe residential space for drug addicts to abstain safely from drugs, with a structure that enables them to be transformed into productive members of society. The Social Reintegration Program is offered free of charge to young drug addicts with a strong motivation for change.
Through the program, the residents’ critical basic needs such as shelter, food and clothing are met. This is especially important for drug addicts who are homeless or come from very poor areas, to have a stable safe space where they can abstain from drug use without worrying about their survival. Global Youth Dynamix also facilitates for the residents, access to healthcare by paying for them monthly subscriptions to Kenya’s National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).
Through the Social Reintegration Program, the young get the opportunity to learn various vocational skills that will enable them to earn an income as productive members of society. In the residential centre, a structured system is implemented to introduce a sense of normalcy into the lives of these former drug addicts, to enable them to break bad habits that were created due to compulsive drug use and to create habits essential for every day normal life.
